The Xavier’s Media Collective (XMC), initiated by the Department of Mass Media at St. Xavier’s College, Mumbai, serves as a community where aspiring media professionals collaborate with industry experts to bring real-world projects to fruition, creating impact and adding value.

Over the years, students from various cohorts in the department of Mass Media have collaborated to initiate a variety of projects. While in college, these students have organized festivals, conferences, and student magazines, which have paved the way for their successful careers in Mass Media.

In 2024, we consolidated all of the department’s intellectual property and creative endeavours under the umbrella of XMC. Instead of functioning as separate teams, we opted to create a unified student body with a common mission: strategically advancing these initiatives annually.
This approach enables us to operate akin to a professional media organization overseeing various intellectual properties. Through XMC, students have the opportunity to hone their skills, collaborate effectively, and gain first-hand experience in bringing creative ideas to life within a professional framework.
